LogiCO2 CO2 sensor for cold rooms with reliable detection in low temperatures
The LogiCO2 3349 set is a CO2 detection system for cold rooms and freezers with a Cold Room sensor, Mk9 central unit and sounder/beacon to monitor leaks in cold environments where a conventional detector may lose accuracy.
Qué aporta este producto
This unit is designed for cold rooms and freezing applications where CO2 may accumulate due to a leak and a standard detector does not provide a sufficiently reliable response at low temperature.
The real advantage of this set is that it already includes the core of the system: low-temperature-specific sensor, Mk9 central unit, sounder/beacon, power supply, connectors, signage, and protective cover. This reduces configuration errors and simplifies a technically sound installation.
In addition, the manufacturer states that the Cold Room solution is specially adapted to refrigeration and freezing, and that the sensor differs from the standard Mk90 in its temperature range and in an alarm level configurable via DIP switch 1.

Compatibility and use cases
This set is designed for cold rooms, freezers, cold storage areas, gas rooms connected to cold rooms and other cold indoor spaces where CO2 is used and there is a risk of accumulation due to leakage.
Suitable for hospitality, food retail, wineries, breweries, beverage producers, the food industry and any facility where CO2 is used in cold rooms or low-temperature enclosures.
The manufacturer’s own documentation allows expansion with additional kits, relay kits and connection to building management systems, always within the LogiCO2 architecture.
Installation and considerations before buying
- El sensor debe instalarse a una altura máxima de 30 cm del suelo y a una distancia máxima de 5 m del punto de distribución de CO2.
- Each sensor covers a maximum area of 78 m²; if the cold room or area is larger, consider additional sensors.
- The sounder/beacon must be placed above the sensor, approximately 2–2.4 m from the floor, clearly visible from any entrance.
- The documentation also recommends installing a second sounder/beacon outside the monitored area, preferably above the access door or doors.
- The central unit must be installed outside the monitored area, in a visible and accessible position.
- Check the available power supply, the RJ45 cable routing and compatibility with the system architecture if you plan future expansions.
- As this is a safety product, installation and commissioning must be carried out with technical expertise and final functional verification.
Recommended maintenance and use
The sensor performs automatic calibration several times a year. Even so, as this is a CO2 safety system, it is advisable to periodically check cables, connectors, visibility of signage, sounder/beacon, and correct reading on the central unit.
The general system documentation recommends that a qualified professional agent perform a functional check at least once a year. Cleaning should be done with water and a damp cloth, avoiding any unauthorised tampering with the equipment.
