Nitro Coffee and Cold Brew: Keg-to-tap dispensers
Draft coffee (cold brew and nitro coffee) from kegs or other containers is an innovative way to serve coffee in professional environments, using a system similar to beer: “from keg to glass”. This solution offers a distinctive customer experience and a fast alternative to traditional preparations, ideal for coffee shops, bars and HORECA outlets with high service volume.
A keg coffee system typically includes the keg/tank, gas pressurization (usually CO₂ for cold brew and N₂ for nitro), tubing and fittings, a dispensing tap and a chiller to maintain temperature throughout the line. Cold brew is obtained by cold extraction (12–24 h) and is smoother and less acidic; nitro coffee is cold brew infused with nitrogen, which gives it a creamy texture and characteristic head. Key benefits: fast service, consistent quality, less waste (compared with capsules and packaged formats) and an attractive presentation that can boost sales.
