Shipping conditions, rates and delivery times
At Install Beer we ship technical equipment for beverage dispensing, spare parts, connectors, tubing, taps, towers, cooling units, gas systems, cleaning products and complete solutions for beer, water, wine, cocktails, coffee, kombucha, cider and other beverages on tap.
On this page we explain how shipping costs are calculated, what the indicative rates are, what delivery times are usual, how bulky equipment is delivered, and what to do if an incident occurs.
The final contractual cost of transport will be the one shown in the purchase process before confirming the order, or the one indicated in the accepted quotation. The rates published on this page are indicative and may vary depending on weight, volume, destination, type of goods, carrier, and available service.
1. Scope of application
These conditions apply to shipments managed by Install Beer via the online store, by quotation or through other authorized sales channels.
They apply, among others, to:
- Standard parcel service.
- Technical material boxes.
- Bulky or delicate equipment.
- Palletised goods.
- Orders assembled or pre‑assembled in the workshop.
- Domestic, intra-EU and international shipments.
- Collections, returns and logistics reverse flows.
Projects, installations, rentals, special supplies and business-to-business transactions may also be subject to specific conditions indicated in the quotation or contract.
2. How shipping costs are calculated
The shipping cost is calculated by combining different logistical factors. For dispensing equipment, volume and fragility can be just as important as actual weight.
Actual weight
This is the physical weight of the product, accessories, protections, and packaging used to transport it.
Volumetric weight
Some carriers calculate the cost according to the space the package occupies. For this reason, a column, tray, refrigerator or equipment that is light but bulky may have a higher cost than would correspond solely to its actual weight.
Destination
The price varies depending on the province, postal code, island, country, remote area, customs territory, and available coverage.
Type of service
The cost may vary depending on whether an Economy, Express, urgent, local delivery, international transport, special parcel service or palletized transport is used.
Characteristics of the goods
The following may also have an impact:
- Fragility.
- Special dimensions.
- Need to keep the equipment upright.
- Declared value or additional insurance.
- Goods subject to restrictions.
- Need for reinforced packaging.
- Number of packages.
- Pickup or delivery in a limited coverage area.
3. Final price and taxes
The rates included on this page serve as a reference for regular orders. The final price will be the one shown at checkout before confirming the purchase or the one stated in the accepted quote.
When the customer acts as a consumer, the purchase process will display the total amount of the order, including applicable taxes and shipping costs, before they are bound to pay.
In business-to-business transactions, exports, intra‑Community supplies, or territories with special tax regimes, the invoice may apply the corresponding tax treatment when the legal requirements are met.
If the system cannot reasonably calculate shipping because it is a bulky product, restricted goods, an international order or a special configuration, the shipment will appear as “on request” and will not be finalized until Install Beer communicates its cost.

9. Preparation and cut-off time
Carriers’ regular collections take place at approximately 1:00 p.m. on working days.
Orders that are available, paid and correctly confirmed before that time may be prepared and dispatched the same day, but same-day dispatch is not guaranteed.
Preparation may be delayed when:
- The product is not available in the immediate warehouse.
- The order includes many items.
- It is necessary to assemble, check or configure the equipment.
- The equipment requires reinforced packaging or a pallet.
- Missing tax, technical, or customs data.
- Payment or order confirmation is still pending.
- A change is requested after the order has been confirmed.
Orders placed after the cut‑off time may be prepared on the next business day.
10. Delivery times
Transit times start counting from dispatch, not necessarily from the date the order is placed.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Spain Economy: between 24 and 72 working hours.
- Spain Express: next working day, subject to coverage.
- Portugal: between 3 and 7 business days.
- European Union: between 5 and 10 working days.
- Pallets: depending on destination, operator, appointment and availability.
- International: timeframe communicated for each transaction.
Standard deliveries are made from Monday to Friday, except public holidays. Deliveries at weekends are not guaranteed unless a specific service has been expressly contracted and confirmed.
Time frames may be affected by public holidays, peak-demand periods, weather events, customs checks, strikes, carrier incidents, islands, remote areas or circumstances beyond Install Beer’s reasonable control.
In sales to consumers, where no other timeframe has been agreed, delivery will be made without undue delay and within the applicable statutory period.
11. Carriers used
Install Beer works with different carriers to adapt shipping to the type of material, destination and service.
Regular carriers may include:
- GLS.
- Correos Express.
- CTT.
- UPS.
- FedEx.
- DHL.
- NTL.
- Local operators or equivalents.
The appearance of a carrier on this list does not guarantee that it can be selected for all orders.
Install Beer will normally choose the carrier it considers most suitable according to the weight, volume, destination, goods and service contracted.
If a business customer needs to use a specific carrier, they must inform us before confirming the order. Install Beer may accept the request, propose an alternative, or arrange a pickup on the customer’s behalf.
12. Special and restricted products
Some products cannot be shipped by standard parcel services or require a prior assessment.
Among them may be:
- Refrigerators and cooling equipment.
- Kegerators and refrigerated cabinets.
- Large columns.
- Pre-assembled equipment in the workshop.
- Bottles or pressure vessels.
- Compressed gases or gas mixtures.
- Restricted chemicals, aerosols or liquids.
- Batteries or other components subject to regulation.
- Fragile goods, high-value goods or goods with special dimensions.
The availability of these shipments will depend on the destination, classification of the goods, quantities, packaging, documentation and authorized operator.
The fact that a product appears listed in the store does not mean it can be shipped by any service or to any country.
13. Pallet delivery conditions
Unless a different service is expressly contracted, palletised delivery is made at street level or at the point accessible to the delivery vehicle.
Standard pallet delivery does not necessarily include:
- Delivery to upper floors.
- Entry into the interior of the premises.
- Unpacking.
- Removal of the pallet or packaging.
- Installation or commissioning.
- Use of a crane or special platform.
- Handling via stairs or restricted access.
The customer must check that the delivery location is accessible for a goods vehicle and that there is sufficient space to receive the pallet.
Where a tail lift, scheduled appointment, small vehicle, indoor delivery, special unloading or additional handling is required, it must be requested before arranging transport.
14. Canary Islands, Europe, and international
Canary Islands
Shipments to the Canary Islands may require tax documentation, customs clearance, buyer or recipient identification and customs processing.
IGIC, AIEM, clearance fees, storage or other amounts required at destination may apply.
Ceuta and Melilla
They are not normally handled as standard shipments. The customer must request a prior assessment to review availability, documentation and logistics conditions.
European Union
Shipments within the European Union are available for the countries and products enabled in the store. Tax treatment will depend on whether the customer acts as a consumer or as a business with a valid VAT number, and on the specific circumstances of the transaction.
United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Andorra and other destinations
These shipments may require an export declaration, commercial invoice, tariff classification and payment of taxes or import duties at destination.
America, Asia and other international markets
Availability will be assessed according to the country, product, dimensions, restrictions, documentation, payment method, and the customer’s ability to carry out the import.
In some countries, Install Beer will only be able to offer Ex Works collection or delivery to an agreed point, without assuming import into the destination country.
15. Customs, taxes and documentation
To prepare a correct invoice and shipping documentation, Install Beer may request:
- DNI, NIE, or NIF (ID/tax number).
- Registered company name.
- Intra-Community VAT number.
- EORI number.
- Billing and delivery address.
- Contact person.
- Description of use or final purpose.
- Other documentation required by the authority or carrier.
For shipments outside the corresponding tax or customs territory, there may be:
- VAT or import taxes.
- Duties.
- Customs clearances.
- Presentation or inspection fees.
- Storage costs.
- Agent or carrier fees.
These amounts will not be included unless the checkout, quotation or agreed Incoterm expressly states otherwise.
When they cannot be calculated in advance, Install Beer will inform the customer that additional charges may apply before finalising the transaction.
The tax and customs information provided by Install Beer is of an operational nature. The importer must verify the obligations applicable in their country.
16. B2B transactions and Incoterms
In transactions between companies, an Incoterm may be agreed to define logistical obligations, costs, risks, export and import.
The applicable Incoterm must be expressly stated in the quote, order confirmation, pro forma invoice or contract.
Ex Works
When an Ex Works delivery is agreed, the customer mainly arranges and assumes collection, transport, insurance, export and import, within the limits and responsibilities established for the transaction.
Install Beer will make the goods available at the agreed place and date and will provide the commercial documentation corresponding to it.
Other Incoterms
When DAP, DDP, FCA, or another Incoterm is used, the allocation of obligations expressly indicated in the offer will prevail.
The mere contracting of carriage does not mean that Install Beer acts as the importer of record in the destination country.
17. Transfer of risk
Consumers
When Install Beer sends goods to a consumer via a carrier proposed or contracted by Install Beer, the risk of loss or damage will pass when the consumer, or a third party indicated by the consumer other than the carrier, physically receives the goods.
If the consumer independently arranges a carrier that was not proposed by Install Beer, the risk may pass upon delivery of the goods to that carrier, without prejudice to any rights against that carrier.
Businesses and professionals
In B2B transactions, risk shall pass in accordance with the Incoterm, quote or agreed logistical condition.
If the professional customer arranges collection through their own carrier, they must verify that it is suitable for the type of goods and provide the necessary labels, instructions and documentation.
18. Inspection upon receipt of the order
Upon receiving the goods, it is recommended to check:
- The number of packages.
- The recipient’s identity.
- The external condition of the packaging.
- The presence of impacts, moisture, punctures or openings.
- The visible condition of the pallet and protections.
- That the equipment has been transported in the indicated position.
When visible damage is observed, it is recommended to:
- Record the incident on the carrier’s delivery note.
- Take photographs before opening the package.
- Photograph the shipping label.
- Keep all packaging and protective materials.
- Report the incident to Install Beer as soon as possible.
Failure to make an immediate note may make it harder to claim against the carrier, but does not automatically remove the consumer’s legal rights against Install Beer.
19. Damage, shortages and losses
Damaged product
The customer must send, whenever possible:
- Order or invoice number.
- Description of the affected product.
- Photos of the outer packaging.
- Photographs of the shipping label.
- Photographs of the internal protections.
- Photographs or video of the damage.
The product and packaging must be kept until Install Beer confirms the collection, inspection or replacement instructions.
Incomplete order
If any product or parcel is missing, the customer must report it, indicating which item has not been received. Install Beer will check the preparation, number of parcels, weight and shipping documents.
Incorrect product
When a different reference, variant or quantity from that confirmed has been sent, Install Beer will arrange the appropriate correction without passing on to the customer any costs that it is legally required to bear.
Lost shipment
When tracking is not updated or delivery significantly exceeds the expected timeframe, Install Beer will open an investigation with the carrier.
If it is confirmed that the shipment cannot be delivered, the appropriate solution will be offered, such as replacement, reshipment or refund.
20. Failed delivery or incorrect address
The customer must provide a full and correct address, as well as an active telephone number and email address.
A delivery may fail due to:
- Absence of the recipient.
- Incomplete or incorrect address.
- Lack of access to the premises.
- Unjustified refusal of the goods.
- Inability to contact the recipient.
- Lack of customs documentation.
- Non-payment of taxes or import charges.
The carrier may make a new attempt, deposit the goods at an agency or authorized point, or return them to Install Beer.
When the issue is caused by incorrect data, repeated absence or breach attributable to the customer, the actual and reasonable costs of return and reshipment may be charged, provided that the customer has been informed and without limiting mandatory rights.
Simply refusing the parcel does not necessarily amount to correctly exercising the right of withdrawal. The consumer must clearly communicate their decision to withdraw.
21. Collection in Barcelona
Some orders can be collected from Install Beer’s premises, provided the product is available and the order has been prepared.

Usual hours: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., except public holidays.
The customer must wait for confirmation that the order is ready before travelling.
To collect professional orders or high-value orders, Install Beer may request the order number, identification or authorization of the person collecting the goods.
22. Changes and cancellations
Changes of address, products or transport service must be requested as soon as possible.
Install Beer will try to apply the change provided the order has not yet been dispatched.
Once the goods are in the carrier’s possession, it is not always possible to change the address or stop delivery.
A modification may result in a change in price, lead time, taxes or logistics costs.
The cancellation of an order will also be governed by the Terms and Conditions of Contracting and by the Withdrawal, Returns and Refunds Policy.
23. Returns and collections
Before returning a product, the customer must contact Install Beer to identify the order, the reason, and the appropriate solution.
The financial terms will depend on whether it concerns:
- Statutory withdrawal by a consumer.
- Voluntary commercial return.
- Preparation error.
- Damage during transport.
- Lack of conformity or warranty.
- Expressly accepted B2B return.
The direct cost of return may be borne by the consumer when they withdraw from a purchase and have been informed of this in advance, unless Install Beer has agreed to assume it.
When the return is the result of an error attributable to Install Beer or a lack of conformity, Install Beer will bear the legally corresponding costs.
Products must not be sent cash on delivery or freight collect without prior instructions.
24. Projects, installations and essential dates
Transport times do not automatically include the time required for procurement, manufacturing, assembly, installation or commissioning.
When the order is required for an opening, installation, event, trade fair, festival or urgent technical service, the customer must inform us before contracting.
A date will only be considered essential or guaranteed when Install Beer has expressly confirmed it in writing.
To reduce risks, it is recommended not to schedule installers, staff, events or operational shutdowns until you have sufficient confirmation of dispatch and delivery.
For technical projects, Install Beer may coordinate delivery with the scheduled installation date or temporarily store the material when there is a prior agreement.
25. Frequently Asked Questions
