John Guest female adapter with 1/4 FFL thread
Push-fit fitting to connect a tube line to a 1/4 FFL threaded connection. Available for 3/8" (9.5 mm) and 5/16" (8 mm) tube, depending on variant.
How to choose the variant
Select the variant by the tube’s actual outside diameter. The target thread must be 1/4 FFL. This nomenclature is especially common in certain dispensing connections and must not be confused with BSP, NPTF or MFL.
Practical use
Allows you to directly adapt a beverage or gas line to components with 1/4 FFL, reducing the number of intermediate parts and simplifying maintenance.
Installation
Depressurize, cut the tube square, push it in fully, and fit the appropriate threaded connection. Avoid forcing the thread or using the fitting to compensate for poor alignment.
Maintenance
Periodically check that the tube is not marked or deformed near the fitting and that the threaded joint remains tight.
Frequently asked questions
What tubes does it accept?
3/8" or 5/16", depending on variant.
Are FFL and MFL the same?
No. The component’s connection type must match.
Can I reuse the fitting?
John Guest push-fit technology is designed to allow disconnection and reconnection when the components remain in good condition.
What is the most common mistake?
Selecting the correct tube diameter but choosing the wrong thread standard.
