This accessory is designed for a very specific problem: the LogiCO2 safety system stopping due to loss of power. Instead of relying only on the presence of voltage at the central unit, the monitor provides an independent warning if the system goes out of service.

Its technical value lies in combining power monitoring with an internal backup battery. This allows it to continue providing alerts even when the main power supply is lost, which is especially useful in installations where a power failure must not go unnoticed.

It also makes sense when the system runs on a UPS. If the UPS battery is depleted and the system no longer has 24 V DC, the monitor will indicate this with its own alarm.

Installation and considerations before buying

• Install it in a place where it is easy to see and hear, preferably next to the central unit.
• It must not be covered by other mounting elements.
• It can be connected directly to the central unit or via a splitter to the red or blue cable of the system.
• For commissioning without triggering a low-battery alarm, both batteries must be installed within 30 seconds after reconnecting the unit’s power cable.
• Before buying, check whether you need monitoring of power failure for the entire system or a different signaling accessory, because this product does not replace an external siren or a sensor.
• If the system uses a UPS, this monitor is especially recommended to supervise depletion of the UPS battery.

Recommended maintenance and use

As a safety product, the manufacturer recommends a functional check at least once a year. The test consists of disconnecting the power supply to the safety system and checking that the “no power” audible alarm and the red LED are activated, then reconnecting the power supply.

When the batteries are depleted, they must be replaced following the specified procedure: disconnect the monitor’s power cable, reconnect it, and install the two new batteries within 30 seconds. The manufacturer recommends high‑performance AAA alkaline batteries and advises against lithium or rechargeable batteries.
