Additional LogiCO2 Mk90 CO2 sensor kit to expand an existing system
The additional LogiCO2 Mk90 CO2 sensor kit adds a new detection point with sounder/beacon to an already installed LogiCO2 system to monitor CO2 leaks in technical rooms, cold rooms or dispensing areas with a risk of accumulation.
Qué aporta este producto
This kit is designed to expand an existing LogiCO2 safety system. It is not a standalone set with a central unit, but an additional sensor with visual and audible alarm to cover another risk area or a new CO2 distribution point.
It is especially suitable for installations where CO2 can accumulate due to leakage: technical rooms, enclosures with cylinders or manifolds, beverage dispensing installations, wine cellars, breweries and indoor areas where the gas is used or piped.
Its practical advantage is clear: it allows you to scale the system’s safety without redoing the entire installation, while keeping the existing LogiCO2 system wiring, signage and control logic.

Compatibility and use cases
This kit is compatible with an existing LogiCO2 Safety System and is intended to add monitoring in another room, distribution point or risk area. The system’s central unit must be configured to receive measurements from the new sensor.
It is used in indoor spaces where CO2 is used or stored and there is a possibility of accumulation due to leakage: technical rooms, cylinder areas, cold rooms, beverage dispensing installations, wine cellars, breweries and other confined areas.
If the area has several entrances, more than one sounder/beacon may be required so that the alarm is clearly visible from all access points.
Installation and considerations before buying
- Check that you already have an operational LogiCO2 safety system. This kit does not include a central unit.
- The central unit must be configured for the actual number of connected sensors and this kit comes preconfigured as ID2.
- The sensor must be installed at a maximum height of 30 cm from the floor and at a maximum distance of 5 m from the CO2 distribution point.
- Each sensor covers a maximum area of 78 m²; if the area is larger or has several risk points, consider additional sensors.
- The siren/beacon must be mounted above the sensor, about 2–2.4 m from the floor, clearly visible from any entrance to the monitored area.
- If there are additional doors or multiple entrances, a second sounder/beacon may be required outside the monitored area.
- Use original splitters and connectors and protect the RJ45 connectors from moisture and dust as per the manual.
- It is an indoor-use product and the installation should be carried out with technical criteria and clearly visible signage.
Recommended maintenance and use
The sensor performs automatic self-calibration at regular intervals, which reduces the need for manual calibration in a normal environment. Even so, as this is a safety product, it is recommended to perform a functional check at least once a year.
In real-world use, it is advisable to periodically check the sensor mounting, the condition of the red and blue wiring, the RJ45 connectors, the visibility of the siren/beacon, and the presence of clearly legible signage next to the unit.
Frequently asked questions
Does this kit work on its own?
No. It is an additional sensor to expand an existing LogiCO2 Safety System.
Does it include a central unit or a separate power supply?
Does not include central unit. The additional sensor is powered from the existing system.
How is it configured from the factory?
It comes preconfigured with ID2 address, so the central unit must be adjusted to the new number of connected sensors.
¿Dónde debe instalarse el sensor Mk90?
It must be installed at a maximum of 30 cm from the floor and a maximum of 5 m from the CO2 distribution point. Each sensor covers up to 78 m².
Where is the sounder/beacon mounted?
It must be placed above the sensor, approximately 2–2.4 m from the floor and visible from any entrance to the monitored area.
¿Necesita calibración manual periódica?
Under normal conditions no, because the sensor performs automatic self-calibration. Even so, an annual functional check is recommended.
