Pubinno TapPay · Self-service, payment and tap beverage control
Pubinno TapPay: self‑service and payment system for beer and tap beverages
Pubinno TapPay turns Smart Tap into a self‑service station where the customer can select a drink, choose a portion, pay and pour directly. A solution designed to reduce queues, increase sales speed and control every service with real‑time data.
TapPay is designed for all-inclusive hotels, stadiums, festivals, events, food halls, taprooms, beach clubs, resorts, sports venues and high-volume bars where the bottleneck is in waiting, payment, repeat orders and peak demand management.
What TapPay brings to the business
Controlled self-service, fast payments, and traceability to sell more in less time.
Self-service: the customer selects, pays, and serves themselves without depending on a traditional bar.
QR / NFC / POS payments: configurable flows depending on event, hotel, venue, or integration.
Portion control: defines volumes, limits, prices, and consumption formats.
Real‑time data: sales, liters, peak hours, consumption, and efficiency connected to Smart Hub.
In a nutshell: Pubinno TapPay is Pubinno’s self-service and payment solution for Smart Tap. It allows you to serve beer, wine, vermouth, cider, cocktails, cold brew, kombucha, or other compatible beverages on tap via QR payment, NFC/contactless, POS, or specific integration, with portion control and consumption data.
QR + NFC
Enables payment experiences via QR, contactless card, POS terminal, mobile wallets, or custom integration depending on the project.

What Pubinno TapPay is
TapPay is the self‑service, payment and digital control layer of the Pubinno ecosystem. It runs on Smart Tap, the intelligent tap that automates dispensing and measures flow through Sensor Box. TapPay adds the user experience, payment flow and business logic needed for customers to serve themselves autonomously.
In a traditional bar, the customer waits, orders, pays, and then waits again to be served. With TapPay, the process becomes a guided experience: drink selection, portion selection, payment, and automatic service. This reduces friction, frees up staff, and allows you to handle demand peaks more efficiently.
For Install Beer, TapPay is a strategic solution for high‑volume projects in Spain where the goal is to sell more, reduce queues, control portions, log consumption and offer a modern tap‑drinks experience.
TapPay is especially useful if you need to
- Reduce queues at peak hours.
- Serve more customers with less dependence on staff.
- Control portions and consumption.
- Integrate QR, NFC, POS terminals, wristbands or proprietary software payments.
- Obtain real data on liters, sales, users, and schedules.
- Create self-service zones in hotels, events, or venues.
How TapPay works for the end customer
Choose beverage
The user chooses the available drink: beer, wine, vermouth, cider, kombucha, cocktail, cold brew or another compatible beverage.
Select portion
The system allows you to work with configured portions: tasting, 20 cl, small beer, pint, specific glass, or custom format.
Pay or validate
Payment or validation can be done via QR, NFC, card, POS, wallet, bracelet, API, or integration defined in the project.
Pour
After confirmation, Smart Tap activates dispensing and serves the programmed portion with flow control and data logging.
TapPay is not simply “a tap with payment.” It’s an operational solution: self-service, portions, control, user experience, data, monitoring, and technical support.
Operating modes: QR, NFC or both
1. TapPay QR
The customer sees a QR code on the device, scans it with their phone, selects quantity or serving size, makes the payment, and returns to the tap to start the service. It’s a very suitable flow for events, festivals, trade shows, and locations where the mobile phone is the main channel.
2. TapPay NFC / POS
The customer selects the quantity or portion directly on the device, and the payment is generated at the POS terminal or via contactless method. It is ideal for sports venues, hotels, high-volume bars, and operations where maximum speed is required.
3. QR + NFC
The system can display both options, allowing the user to choose between “Pay with QR” or “Pay with Card”. This mode offers flexibility for different customer profiles and different consumption environments.
Main advantages of Pubinno TapPay
Reduces queues
Self-service allows demand to be spread across several points and reduces dependence on a single bar for ordering, payment, and service.
Increases sales capacity
At peak demand, every minute of waiting can turn into lost sales. TapPay allows more transactions to be served in less time.
Less dependence on staff
The team can focus on supervising, restocking, keeping things clean, resolving incidents and improving the user experience.
Portion control
It allows you to define specific volumes, avoid overfilling, and adapt service to prices, limits, or consumption formats.
Data per operation
Each service is logged to analyze consumption, liters, sales, peak hours, keg performance and user behavior.
Modern experience
The user takes part in the service, reduces waiting times and enjoys a fast, guided and distinctive experience.
TapPay for all-inclusive hotels
In all‑inclusive hotels, TapPay can be a highly valuable solution for buffet areas, pool bars, beach clubs, terraces, casual restaurants and high‑consumption points. It enables you to create controlled self‑service stations for beer, wine, vermouth, soft drinks or other compatible tap beverages.
The key in hotels is not just dispensing: it is controlling consumption, portions, schedules, users, and replenishment. TapPay can be evaluated with NFC wristband, room-based validation, PMS, internal software, API, or the hotel’s own logic, always after a technical validation of the project.
For large-capacity resorts and hotels, TapPay can help reduce queues, balance staff workload, and improve consumption traceability without losing operational control.
Data to review in a hotel
- Number of rooms and consumption areas.
- Identification system: wristband, card, app, room or QR.
- Beverages to be dispensed and allowed portions.
- Limits per user, time slot, or contracted plan.
- Integration with PMS, POS, internal software, or API.
- Supervision, security, and restocking needs.
TapPay for events, festivals, and stadiums
Common issue
- Long queues during breaks, concerts or activity changes.
- Sales lost due to waiting time.
- Difficulty staffing correctly.
- Little traceability per point of sale.
- Charging, service, or portioning errors.
- High operational pressure in short time windows.
Solution with TapPay
- Self-service stations for high-rotation beverages.
- Fast payment via QR, NFC, or POS.
- Programmed, repeatable portions.
- Data on liters and sales per point.
- Greater serving capacity at peak hours.
- Possibility of combining assisted bars and self-service areas.
For temporary events, it is especially important to review connectivity, power supply, drainage, safety, keg replenishment, age control if applicable, signage, and supervision of the self-service area.
Payments, validations and possible integrations
TapPay can be designed with different payment or validation flows. The final configuration depends on the country, payment provider, regulations, type of beverage, type of user, and software the client already uses.
QR payment
The user scans the code, completes the order from their phone and returns to the tap to pour.
NFC / contactless
Payment by card, wallet, or compatible terminal to reduce friction in high-volume environments.
POS / EPOS
Integration with the terminal or payment flow associated with the project, depending on provider and configuration.
Bracelets or cards
Especially interesting for hotels, resorts, closed events, private venues, or experiences with identified users.
API / internal software
For projects with PMS, CRM, proprietary system, venue app or per‑user consumption control.
Age & ID verification
In projects where necessary, age or identity verification can be evaluated with compatible solutions.
Compatibility with each payment or software provider must be validated before confirming the project. At Install Beer we review the technical scope together with Pubinno to avoid promising unverified integrations.

- Configurable portions and automatic service.
- Real‑time data connected to Smart Hub.
- Scalable by zones, bars, events, or locations.
Beverages that can be considered with TapPay
TapPay is mainly used for draft beer, but it can be evaluated for other tap beverages if the product, installation and service flow are compatible.
Beer Cider Vermouth Wine on tap Kombucha Cold brew Nitro coffee Cocktails on tap Compatible cold beverages
Final compatibility must be technically validated. Some beverages require testing due to foam, gas, viscosity, temperature, pressure, cleaning, or product stability.
