Dimensions and capacity

Variant Capacity Approx. height Approx. diameter For guidance only
9.5 Litres 9.5 L 34 cm 23 cm Small batches, trials, homebrew and compact setups
19 Liters 19 L 56 cm 23 cm Standard Corny format for homebrew and dispensing
23 Liters 23 L 67 cm 23 cm Greater autonomy while maintaining a narrow footprint

Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. Before installing the keg inside a kegerator or cold room, allow extra space for the lid, Ball‑Lock connectors and tube bend radius.

Material and pressure

The equivalent AEB references are made of 304 stainless steel with protective rubber elements. AEB Ball-Lock kegs in these families are tested at pressures close to 9 bar / 130 psi. For daily use, always respect the pressure indicated on the keg itself, the regulator, the connections and the rest of the system components.

What drinks is it suitable for?

Can be used with compatible systems for beer, water, coffee and cold brew, cocktails, mead, kombucha, cider, vermouth, wine and other beverages. The gas, pressure, gasket material and cleaning must be adapted to the specific drink.

What you need for dispensing

  • Two Ball‑Lock connectors: one for gas and one for liquid.
  • Regulator and gas source suitable for the product and serving pressure.
  • Beverage line and gas line with compatible fittings.
  • Tap or dispenser and a cooling system when the drink needs to be served cold.

Cleaning and maintenance

The central lid allows access to the interior for cleaning and sanitizing. Fully depressurize the keg before removing the lid, posts or internal tubes. Regularly check the seals, relief valve and Ball‑Lock connections, and replace worn parts to prevent leaks.

Do not use bleach/hypochlorite on stainless steel. It can cause pitting and damage the surface. Use cleaning and disinfection products compatible with stainless steel and with the type of beverage.

Frequently asked questions

Are gas and liquid Ball-Locks the same?
No. Gas and liquid posts and connectors have different functions and must be connected in their corresponding position.

Can I carbonate inside the Corny Keg?
Yes, that’s one of the usual uses of the Cornelius format. The pressure and procedure depend on the drink, temperature and desired carbonation level.

What size should I choose?
9.5 L for small batches or compact installations; 19 L as the standard homebrew format; 23 L when you need more capacity without greatly increasing the diameter.

Does it fit in any kegerator?
Not necessarily. Check the usable height including lid and connectors, the diameter, and the space needed for the tubing.

Can Install Beer help me complete the system?
Yes. We can size Ball-Lock connectors, tubing, regulator, gas, tap and cooling according to the drink and intended use.
