LogiCO2 Grow CO2 enrichment controller for grow rooms and greenhouses

The LogiCO2 Grow CO2 enrichment controller measures the ambient CO2 concentration and opens or closes a valve or burner to maintain the target level in grow rooms and greenhouses.

Qué aporta este producto

This controller is designed to regulate CO2 enrichment in indoor grow rooms and greenhouses. Its function is to measure the ambient concentration and act on the CO2 supply system to approach the configured target value.

It is particularly suitable for projects where a more stable and automated dosing is required than simply opening the gas manually. The system can operate with a plug & play enrichment valve or, if the CO2 is generated by combustion, with an RCB relay box to start and stop the burner.

It also incorporates an internal light sensor to activate control only when plant lighting is on, a useful feature to optimize consumption and avoid unnecessary CO2 supply outside the photosynthesis period.

Key data

  • Built-in light sensor It can activate control only when the greenhouse lighting is on. This function can be disabled by DIP switch.
  • Adjustable setpoint Allows you to set the target concentration between 700 and 2000 ppm in 50 ppm steps.
  • Optional adaptive control Can automatically adjust the dosing time between 10 and 120 seconds every 5 minutes.
  • Valve or burner compatibility Works with enrichment valve 0475 and, via RCB box 0471, can also control burners or fans.
  • Clear on-screen reading Alternately displays current concentration, target setpoint, and altitude setting.
  • Low-level indicator It can display “Low” when the concentration is 200 ppm below the target, a useful indication if the CO2 cylinder is empty.
  • LogiCO2 integration Can be connected to a LogiCO2 Safety CO2 Mk9 central unit to display the concentration also on the central.

Compatibility and use cases

This controller is used in grow rooms, grow cabinets, propagation areas and greenhouses where the atmosphere is enriched with CO2 to promote photosynthesis.

It is compatible with the LogiCO2 0475 enrichment valve and with the RCB 0471 box for fan control or for starting and stopping CO2 generation burners. Both the valve and the RCB use RJ45 connectors for direct connection to the controller.

It can also be connected to a LogiCO2 Safety CO2 Mk9 central unit. In that case, the central can display the CO2 concentration and the “/Low” indication when the current level is 200 ppm below the target.

Installation and considerations before buying

  • Mount the controller at the same height as the plant foliage, where photosynthesis is actually taking place.
  • If grow lighting is used, make sure the light reaches the controller so that the internal light sensor can operate correctly.
  • Avoid spraying water directly onto the equipment.
  • Before purchasing, confirm whether you need only the controller or also the enrichment valve 0475 or the RCB 0471 box, because they are accessories and not part of the base kit.
  • The blue cable is used for the enrichment valve and/or for the RCB; the red cable is for power supply and communication.
  • Use the protective gaskets and collar seals to protect RJ45 connectors and splitters from moisture and dust.
  • The power supply must be mounted with the included plug lock to prevent disconnection without tools.
  • If the project also requires safety monitoring for people, consider integration with a LogiCO2 Safety CO2 Mk9 system.

Recommended maintenance and use

The unit performs automatic calibration at regular intervals. Even so, it is advisable to periodically check the condition of the cables, connectors, LEDs, power supply and the response of the CO2 control to ensure stable regulation.

In real use it is also advisable to check that the chosen setpoint, hysteresis and adaptive mode match the crop strategy. If the unit shows “Low”, it may indicate that the CO2 cylinder is empty or that the gas supply is insufficient for the configured target.

Frequently asked questions

Does this product measure CO2 or does it only open a valve?

It measures the ambient CO2 concentration and, based on that reading, opens or closes the enrichment system to approach the setpoint.

Does it include the enrichment valve?

No. Valve 0475 is an optional accessory. The base kit includes the controller, power supply, cables, connector, Grow sign and manual.

Can it be used with a burner instead of a valve?

Yes. If the CO2 is generated by combustion, the manufacturer specifies using the RCB 0471 box to start and stop the burner instead of the enrichment valve.

Where should the controller be installed?

It must be mounted at the same height as the plant foliage. If grow lighting is used, the light must reach the unit so that the internal light sensor can operate correctly.

What setpoint range does it allow?

You can set the target concentration between 700 and 2000 ppm in 50 ppm steps. The default value is 1200 ppm.

Can it be connected to a LogiCO2 safety system?

Yes. It can be connected to a LogiCO2 Safety CO2 Mk9 central unit to combine enrichment control and display from the central unit.
