-
Cold cocktails: ideal for drinks, rocks glasses, highball glasses or mugs that have been pre-chilled.
-

How to achieve the best frosted-glass effect
For a more visible and faster result, TEFCOLD recommends placing the rinsed and wet glasses on the shelves. The fan-assisted freezing at -15 °C helps frost the glasses in a short time.
Thick glass mugs usually provide a better cooling effect, although the unit can be used with different types of glass as long as they are suitable for intense cold and professional use.
Install Beer recommendation: this unit improves presentation and perceived temperature in the glass, but it does not replace correct adjustment of the dispensing system. For draft beer, final quality still depends on three key variables: product temperature, correct pressure and hygiene of lines and taps.

Installation and commissioning
The GF200VSG must be installed on a stable, level surface suitable for the weight of the unit. Its adjustable feet allow the position to be set for correct operation.
- Remove the packaging and outer protective film before installing the unit.
- Connect to an accessible 220-240 V / 50 Hz earthed power outlet.
- Do not use multi-socket adapters, temporary connections or electrical installations without adequate protection.
- If the unit has been transported horizontally, leave it upright for 2 hours before switching it on.
- Clean the interior before first use following the recommendations in the manual.
- Keep the ventilation openings free from obstructions.
Using the thermostat and defrosting
The thermostat is located on the lower panel. The unit is factory preset and in most cases it is not necessary to change the initial settings.
- The display shows the current internal temperature of the unit.
- Temperature is adjusted from the electronic controller following the manufacturer’s manual.
- The unit has automatic defrost with predefined intervals.
- If the door is opened very frequently or the contents are changed often, manual defrosting may be necessary.
- Defrost water goes to a container located in the compressor compartment and evaporates.
Recommended maintenance and cleaning
The refrigeration system is hermetically sealed and does not require routine internal supervision. Preventive maintenance focuses on cleaning the unit and the condenser/compressor assembly.
- Disconnect the unit from the power supply before cleaning it.
- Clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a mild soapy solution and dry afterwards.
- Do not apply direct water jets or high-pressure equipment.
- Do not use chlorine-based cleaners or aggressive products that may damage surfaces or the refrigeration system.
- Clean the condenser and compressor compartment with a vacuum cleaner and stiff brush.
- Check that the door closes properly and that the shelves are correctly positioned.
Compatibility and operating limits
Important: this unit is designed to chill and frost glasses, stemware and jugs. It is not a machine for cooling kegs, it does not replace a cold room and it must not be used as the main system for preserving food products if such use is not covered by the manufacturer.
In professional dispensing projects, the glass froster is a service complement. For a well-served beer, the keg, refrigeration equipment, gas, pressure, lines, tap and regular cleaning must also be correctly sized.
Spare parts and technical service
TEFCOLD documentation includes spare parts for components such as glass door, tower, gasket, evaporator, fans, thermostat, main switch, LED light, shelf rails and clips, shelves, adjustable feet, compressor, condenser, drip tray, defrost heater and NTC probe.
In the event of a fault, it is recommended to first check whether there is an electrical power failure. If the unit does not cool and the cause cannot be identified, a qualified service technician must intervene and suitable spare parts must be used.
Downloads and technical documentation
We recommend reviewing the manufacturer’s documentation before installing the unit, especially if it will be placed on-bar, in furniture, behind-bar or in areas with limited ventilation.
