Tamper-evident caps for beer and beverage kegs

Approximate delivery time between 3 and 4 weeks.

Plastic protection and tamper-evident caps for keg valves, supplied in full boxes or pallets for breweries, beverage producers, packers and distributors. The range allows you to select the type of cap according to the valve or keg system, the color and the logistics format.

Indicative lead time: 3–4 weeks.

How to choose the right cap

Selection should be made primarily by the type of keg valve or connection, not only by the external appearance. This data sheet groups the commercial configurations available for A–M (Flat), G (Grundy), S–D–U (Sankey) and KeyKeg systems. Before placing a volume order, check the type of valve used on your kegs.

Selected type Box format Pallet format
A – M (Flat) 700 units 14,000 units
G (Grundy) 850 units 17,000 units
S – D – U (Sankey) 1,000 units 16,000 units
KeyKeg 1,100 units 22,000 units

Important: the names and quantities shown in the variant selector are what determine the product supplied. First select the type of cap, then the color and finally box or pallet.

Function of the tamper-evident cap

The cap is placed over the keg valve/connection area to provide external physical protection during storage, handling and distribution. It also facilitates visual identification of the keg by color and can be used as a presentation or identification element when customized versions are used.

The cap does not replace the keg valve nor does it constitute, by itself, the primary closure that contains the beverage: it is an external element for protection, identification and visual tamper evidence.

Configuration for the Flat family indicated in the selector. The documented packaging for this family is 700 units per box and 14,000 units per pallet.

S – D – U (Sankey)

The commercial configuration is supplied in 1,000 units per box or 16,000 units per pallet. This family covers Sankey connections indicated in the selector as S, D and U.

KeyKeg

Specific selectable cap for KeyKeg, available in 1,100 units per box or 22,000 units per pallet.

Colors and identification

The commercial variants in this data sheet allow you to select different colors to distinguish products, batches, production lines, markets, or simply to maintain the brand’s visual identity. Among the configured options are white, blue, green, yellow, red, black, purple and gold, depending on the type of cap selected.

The manufacturer’s documentation also includes specific ranges and color references, including options made from recycled material. Actual availability depends on the combination of model, color, quantity and production.

Material and customization options

GevaPlast manufactures plastic keg caps and offers plain, printed or embossed customization depending on the project and volume. There is also a documented range made with 100% recycled material. If you need a customized cap with a logo, text, product ID or a specific color, please check feasibility before placing your order.

Customized options, special colors or configurations outside the standard variants may be subject to minimum quantities, availability and manufacturing lead time.

Order by box or by pallet

The box format allows you to work with a smaller industrial volume and is suitable for periodic production runs or for validating a configuration before moving on to larger quantities. The pallet format is aimed at manufacturers and packers with recurring consumption and concentrates a higher number of caps per shipment.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which cap I need for my keg?

You must identify the type of valve or connection used. The data sheet distinguishes the families A–M (Flat), G (Grundy), S–D–U (Sankey) and KeyKeg. If you do not know your system, send us the reference or photos of the valve before placing a volume order.

Does the cap keep the beer sealed inside the keg?

No. The primary closure and containment of the beverage are provided by the keg valve system. The cap is an external element for protection, identification and visual tamper evidence.

How many caps are in a box?

It depends on the model: A–M Flat, 700; G Grundy, 850; S–D–U Sankey, 1,000; and KeyKeg, 1,100 units.

Can they be customized with our logo?

GevaPlast’s documentation includes plain, printed and embossed caps. Feasibility, minimum quantities, colors and lead time must be confirmed for each customization project.

Are there caps made from recycled plastic?

Yes. GevaPlast documents a range made with 100% recycled material. Availability must be confirmed for the specific combination of cap, color and order.

Do Sankey S, D and U use the same commercial variant in this data sheet?

In the current Install Beer configuration they are grouped in the S–D–U (Sankey) variant, with 1,000 units per box or 16,000 per pallet.
