Compatibility and use cases

Installation and considerations before buying

• The sensor must be installed at breathing height, between 150 and 180 cm from the floor.
• The siren/beacon must be mounted above the sensor, approximately 2–2.4 m from the floor and visible from any entrance.
• The central unit must be located outside the monitored area, in a visible and accessible point.
• Before purchasing, confirm that your existing system can accept an additional sensor and that the central unit can be reconfigured for the new number of sensors.
• Also verify that the system’s electrical sizing allows for expansion with this add‑on kit.
• If the system only has mechanical ventilation, the manual states that the room must have a sensor.

Recommended maintenance and use

The O2 Mk9 sensor performs automatic self-calibration at regular intervals, which reduces the need for manual calibration in a normal environment.

Even so, since this is a safety product, it is advisable to carry out periodic functional checks and, after installation, verify that the new sensor appears correctly on the control unit and that local signalling responds as it should.
