Dürr Technik develops oil-free compressed air solutions for professional applications. At Install Beer we focus on their use in beverage dispensing (high-volume HORECA): we size, supply and install the right system according to actual consumption, lines, pumps and environmental needs.

What a Dürr Technik system brings to beverage dispensing

  • Oil-free compressed air: ideal for environments where a cleaner, more stable air source is a priority.
  • Constant service during consumption peaks (rush hour) and in setups with long lines.
  • Scalable solution: from compact compressors to stations with receiver tank and drying options.
  • Professional operation: focused on reliability, continuity, and intensive use (depending on configuration and sizing).

Installation, commissioning, and maintenance (Spain)

At Install Beer we carry out technical sizing (application, number of pumps, peak-hour flow rate, target pressure, line length/diameter, equipment location, drying and filtration needs), as well as:

  • Sale of equipment and accessories.
  • Professional installation (assembly, connection, accessories, pressure checks).
  • Commissioning and adjustments for service stability.

🍺 Beer with pneumatic pumps (Flojet / Shurflo and similar)

The compressor supplies air to drive the pneumatic pumps. It is especially useful if you want continuity at peak times or if your installation has long-draw lines and you need stable service.

  • Ideal when: long draw, kegs far from the point of service, high volume and frequent peaks.
  • Key factors when choosing: peak flow (l/min), number of pumps running simultaneously, working pressure, receiver tank, and environment.

🥤 Post-mix / Bag-in-Box (syrup pumps)

In soft drinks and post-mix, compressed air drives the syrup pumps (Bag-in-Box) and supports high-volume installations (QSR, franchises, cinemas, stadiums and events).

  • Ideal when: high consumption, need for operational stability and reduced downtime.
  • Key to choosing: flow/continuity, stability at peak time, filtration and overall configuration.

🧪 Gas mixing / nitrogen (CO₂/N₂) and specialty beverages

For styles that require nitrogen and/or CO₂/N₂ blends (e.g. nitro beers, nitro coffee, etc. depending on the project), we can guide the overall configuration (gas + dispensing + safety) for your case.

What type of solution you need (quick guide)

1) Compact compressor — for simple applications

Recommended if you have 1 point of use or moderate consumption and want a compact solution.
Ideal if: 1–2 pumps, simple installation, limited space.

2) Station with receiver tank — for stability during peaks

Recommended if there are consumption peaks, several pumps or you want greater air stability.
Ideal if: 2+ pumps, demanding rush hour, continuous service.

3) Station with dryer (membrane dryer) — for demanding environments

Recommended if you want drier/more stable air or the environment is humid/variable.
Ideal if: critical continuity, humidity control, demanding installations.

4) Mobile station — operational flexibility

Recommended when the unit needs to be moved or provide service in different areas.

Quick (indicative) sizing

Indicative reference to estimate the type of station according to dispensed volume and number of pumps at peak time. For actual sizing, send us data on consumption, pumps and lines: we’ll propose the optimal solution.

Type Tank (L) Pumps* Max. volume (L/min)
UA-025 3 1 2
WA-038 10 2 4
TA-038 25 2 4
TA-061 25 4 8
TA-065 25 4 8
TA-100C1 25 8 16
TAG-132 25 9 18
TA-200C1 25 16 32

*Indicative: pumps based on 2.5 bar drive pressure and continuous dispensing of 2 L/min. The determining factor is the maximum volume dispensed (L/min) at peak.

Want us to size it for you? Tell us: application (beer/post-mix), number of pumps (Flojet/Shurflo), peak-hour consumption, line length/diameter, equipment location and priority (noise / continuity / drying).

Leasing and “pay with savings” projects (no initial purchase)

If you don’t want to make a direct purchase, at Install Beer we can structure the project with leasing and/or a pay-with-savings implementation model. The goal is to make rollout easier (HORECA, chains or producers) without tying up capital, accelerating payback.

  • Leasing / monthly fee: includes the equipment (and, depending on the agreed scope, installation, commissioning, and maintenance).
  • “No upfront investment” installation (subject to feasibility): we can propose a solution where implementation is offset by the savings generated (for example, reduced CO₂ consumption for service/utilities and operational/energy optimization) over an agreed period.
  • “Share the savings” model: we define a baseline (current situation) and measure metrics (CO₂, kWh, incidents) to calculate the savings and apply a transparent payment scheme.

How we calculate it: we carry out an initial audit (points of use, flow/pressure, peaks, current CO₂ setup, power consumption, incidents and maintenance). With that data we prepare a TCO report and a pilot plan (usually 3–4 weeks) to validate results.

Note: renting or “pay with savings” conditions depend on the type of project, volume, duration, location and validation via audit/pilot. References to “tax savings” will be assessed case by case and may depend on applicable regulations and the client’s tax/accounting treatment; this does not constitute tax advice. We help you prepare the data so your advisor can validate it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Answers to guide your choice. To see specific units and buy, visit the Dürr Technik collection.

Does the compressed air come into contact with the beverage?

In configurations with pneumatic pumps, the air is used to drive the pump. It does not run through the beverage line: the beverage keeps its own independent circuit.

What does “oil-free compressor” mean and why does it matter?

“Oil-free” means that compression takes place without oil lubrication in the chamber, helping to achieve cleaner air for sensitive and professional applications.

What data do you need to size it correctly?

Application (beer/post-mix), number of pumps (and model if you know it), peak-hour consumption (l/min or liters/h), target pressure, line length/diameter, equipment location, ventilation/environment, and priority (noise / continuity / drying).

Why is it so important to size for the “peak” (rush hour)?

Because the compressor must sustain the maximum flow rate when demand is highest. If it’s sized for the average, you can get performance drops or irregular service at critical moments.

When is a station with a receiver tank the right choice?

When there are consumption peaks, several pumps running at the same time, or when greater stability of the air supply is required. The receiver tank helps buffer demand and improve service continuity.

When does it make sense to add drying (membrane dryer)?

When you need drier/more stable air or the environment is humid/variable. Common in demanding installations or where continuity is critical.

What maintenance does a compressed air system for beverages require?

It depends on use and environment. It usually includes functional inspections, pressure/stability checks and filtration control. At Install Beer we can propose a preventive plan tailored to your service volume.

Is it suitable for installations with long-draw lines?

Yes. This is a typical case where service stability is a priority, especially when combined with pneumatic pumps and a properly sized system.

What about noise? Can it be installed in customer areas?

Yes, in many cases it’s completely feasible. We recommend placing the equipment in a technical room or ventilated area and choosing the right solution if low noise is the priority.

Can I replace CO₂ with compressed air?

It depends on the system and the goal (pumps, gas mixing, beverage style and configuration). We’ll advise you to define which part can be covered with air and which part must remain with CO₂/N₂ in each case.

Do you offer installation and technical support in Spain?

Yes. At Install Beer we offer sales, installation, commissioning and technical support, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance.

Do you have spare parts and consumables?

Yes. We can supply consumables and spare parts linked to the installed solution (filtration/accessories according to configuration). Tell us the model so we can recommend the correct reference.

What is the most common mistake when choosing a compressor for pumps?

Undersizing (not considering the real peak), or choosing without taking the whole system into account: tank, drying, filtration, location and installation quality. That’s why we recommend a prior technical study.

Can you recommend a complete solution (equipment + accessories + installation)?

Yes. We design the complete solution: equipment, accessories, installation, commissioning and, where applicable, a maintenance plan. Write to us with your case and we’ll propose options.
