What this product offers

This product is intended to expand an existing installation or replace an Mk90 sensor within a LogiCO2 system. It is not a complete kit with control unit, siren/beacon and power supply, but the sensor module only.

Its main advantage over a basic sensor is the Mk90 construction itself: translucent housing, high‑intensity red alarm LEDs, local audible indication and LCD display showing CO2, TWA and temperature when the thermal alarm is active.

Compatibility and use cases

This sensor is designed to be integrated into the LogiCO2 safety system with Mk9 central unit and sensor ID configurations. It is suitable as a spare or extension when a CO2 safety installation is already in operation.

It is suitable for hospitality, wineries, breweries, cold rooms, technical rooms and other confined spaces where CO2 is used or stored and an additional detection point or replacement of an existing sensor is needed.

It is also a useful option when you want to maintain the same LogiCO2 architecture and the same local alert logic in the sensor itself.

Installation and considerations before buying

• The manual states that the sensor should be installed at a maximum height of 30 cm from the floor.
• It must be installed at a maximum distance of 5 m from the CO2 distribution point or potential leak source.
• Each sensor covers a maximum area of 78 m² in an enclosed space.
• It is advisable to mount the sensor in an area where it is less likely to be hit by moving objects, boxes, or cleaning equipment.
• If the system includes a siren/beacon, it must be mounted above the sensor, approximately 2–2.4 m from the floor and clearly visible from the entrance.
• Before purchasing, confirm whether you need only the sensor or a complete set with central unit, beacon, and power supply.
• As it is a safety component, installation and functional testing must be carried out with proper technical judgment.

Recommended maintenance and use

The manual recommends performing a functional check at least once a year, precisely because this is a safety product.

In real‑world use, it is advisable to periodically check the displayed reading, LED operation, audible signal, and correct integration with the rest of the system, especially after replacing the sensor or changing its ID address.
